GEORGE Clooney has got nothing on Jimmy Riddle and his mates as actors from Hollywood live up to their American namesake with their own DVD.

Cast and Crew Productions is a creative, independent film company based Hollywood which specialises in comedy, dramas and entertainment and its latest production, Grubs End Police Farce, filmed in Wythall, follows the misadventures of a few bumbling officers.

A professional entertainer for more than 20 years, Jimmy wrote the script with help from the other cast members, who work as extras on a number of other film and TV productions.

Actor Keith Whitehouse said: "It's good fun. It's a hard life but it's the life that we want to live. We really enjoyed making the DVD and hope people enjoy watching it."

The crew has produced and developed numerous independent film projects for the entertainment industry and other work which Keith has been involved in includes Life on Mars, Doctors and the motion picture The Libertine.

"We had lots of ideas about different projects and then bought a camera.

"We will enter it into the Edinburgh Film Festival and hopefully we will do well in that," added Keith's wife Celia, who also appears in the film.

Members of the company say it's their aim to make a number of productions in the hopes that someone like Steven Spielberg will one day see the potential and turn it into a blockbuster.
